This may all be way too late to be included, but just in case. Per the website instructions, attached is a photo.

Background info might be something like:

“Rita has been living in Seattle since the early seventies, but makes it back to Hawaii regularly, and would love to reconnect with old friends. She owns a consulting firm called PRR, with offices in Seattle and Washington, DC. (www.prrbiz.com ).”

2005 I had a chance to go to Tibet with two of my hiking buddies Wayne Pitluck and Bob Harris. We traveled to Beijing, Chung du then on to Lhasa, then trekked 2300 miles from east Tibet to West Tibet and then went up to Mt Kailash the sacred mountain, cannot summit since it is sacred but went up to 18,000 feet. We camped out in tents for 21 days with 6 sherpas.

2006 Our annual hike and camp into Haleakala, we came in on the Slippery sands side and went out on the Kaupo trail to Hana.

2007 Wayne, Bob and I went to climb Mt Fuji in July Great trip, we got up near the top and had to turn back due to 35 to 45 mile wind gusts, rain and fog. Maybe next time.

Aloha Lloyd!
I'm Gwen Gealon class of 1969 and while surfing the internet .... I was very excited to view our classmates from many years ago. It looks like life has been good to all us and I've enjoyed viewing the photos of our classmates.
As for me, I am a paralegal with the Department of the Attorney General for six (6) years but 20 years in private. I'm married to Russell Kikuyama Valparaiso from California. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Its great when they are out of the nest and have their own lives. We visit them whenever we have time from taking our own trips.
Just the other day, I spoke with Oney Sunio and we'll be getting together for lunch soon.
Please share my fondest Aloha to everyone! God Bless

In my bio: I left out that I am the first female license Auctioneer in the State of Hawaii for the Dept. of Transportation. Yes, I do auction for Harbors and Airports. My next Auction will be for Harbors in May and I will be auctioning 2 fishing vessels.

Mahalo! (May 2006 e-mail)

Hi Lloyd,
Aloha from Kauai! Thanks a bunch for taking the time to send info.
Enjoyed so much seeing the photos, news, keeping in touch, etc.
What a great website! Did you create & who maintains?
I've been living on Kauai since 1983.
I run into Vince Watabu, Ralph Suniga, a few others now & then.
Had lunch w/ Clayton Bello one day.
I keep in touch mostly w/ Oney Sunio & Arlene Felimer Jansen (class of '70) most often.
Hope to get together again w/ the Class of '69 bunch soon one day.
Love nostalgia & happy feelings of days gone by.
Please call if you're ever on Kauai.
I work at the Kauai Marriott in the fitness center; have been there for 10 + years.

Lloyd,
Thanks for keeping in touch and sending me the website. Just took a look at the pictures and I couldn't recognize 90% of the people. Maybe you guys should put the names of the people by the pictures. Not having seen the people for 30-35 years makes a big difference. Maybe you guys wouldn't recognize me too.
Aloha,
Masami

(from e-mail on 11/17/04. Masami lives in So. Cal.)

Okay,
I'm looking at October 6 through 10 next year for Vegas. That's leaving Thursday night and returning Monday. How does this sound to all of you?
Per the Vacations Hawaii format, we form an "association" of 20 to 50 maximum. If we have more we can form more associations for instance, Association one could be named WHS Class of 69. Two could be WHS CLass of 67.
Everyone would make their own arrangements with Vacations Hawaii. They can stay at any Sam Boyd hotel. What they will do is guarantee the price for the first 50 passengers identifying themselves as members of the association.
One thing you have to do is reserve early, otherwise there is no guarantee.
I have been in touch with the Alumni Association, Suzanne Mishima who I will coordinate to put the word out to the rest of the Alumni.
But first I figure we should give our class the first chance to book their reservations.
I was thinking of sending out a postcard announcement in January so that people can start to schedule their year. (From e-mail for next trip to Vegas in 2005)

Good Morning Lloyd,
You know I haven't been in contact with anyone since leaving Hawaii. The only one is Mona and Jennifer Corpus (I'm sure you guys have an address on her--through Mona).
Well, it's 30 degrees here in Ohio and cloudy, they're calling for chances of snow flurries. Bet it's not like that over there? We've been known to have snow even up to May. Hopefully our summer will be better than last year--it rained most of the time--the Golfers were very unhappy!!
Take care!
Aloha,
Marilyn

Aloha, I would very much like to attend one of these get togethers, but
unfortunately Iam now living in Nicdeville, Florida, after I retired from
The Air Force. However I would like to stay in contact with the class and
hopefully when I come home for a visit, I still might get a chance to talk
and see some of you.. Thanks for keeping the Maurader spirit of 69...

Lloyd,
Thanks for the info, good to hear from you. A few weeks ago Meadow Gold invited YB for a golf outing at the HCC, thought I would see you there. Took Wendell Kam your Kauai mangager with me and had a match with Rowland from Maui and Reed Ogino our Maui manager. Had a good time, cause we won. Have good trip to the Mainland.
Aloha, Ralph
From Ralph Suniga on 11/8/2001 he's the manager for Meadow Gold Kauai)

Hi LLoyd!
I received an email from Jaime Picoc. He says you guys are arranging some kind of informal get together at Pearl Ridge. If you give more info, I'll try to attend the next one. (what...Plenty girls?) Joseph Thomas, Jr. (JT) Class of '69

Guys,
I had posted this last year and recieved no reply from anyone "from 'dah camps", only a girl from '78 who remembered some of Waipahu from the old days.

(1) From the "Camps"
"Japanese Camp" Looking for anyone from the old neighborhood or leads to where they are now. I have been gone too long from the old place for so long now it is difficult to find any leads. I am concerned with what used to be the old Japanese camp just outside the fence on the Ewa side of the mill. From Hans Lorange Park to Pump 4 or 3 Tunnel. People who grew up there in the period from about '60 to '70. Many of us were raised with brothers and sisters attending the same classes. My family was on the corner of the "haul cane road" and Kaiki street. Up the hill from Shintaku and Takenaka store and we were the only "manongs" there for years!
I can remember when there were 2 smoke stacks and before the fence went up. I even think I know why the fence went up. I can remember sliding down the the grass hill above Depot Road and Waipahu Street on cardboard boxes from Big Way Market and drooling at all the neat stuff in "Busters" (Bustahs) Waipahu Bicyle Shop. And when the Kam HiWay used to be just 2 lanes. All "new" kids think that the Plantation Park House is ancient, I and most of my peers grew up in them!
So any leads to old friends and just old timers in general would be appreciated. My Mom's side was Costales and I was the youngest of the Picocs.
